LevaData vs Lytica
Both benchmark against prices other companies paid. The difference is which prices. Lytica builds its benchmark from spend data its customers upload. LevaData sees the current prices customers pay and negotiate inside their daily sourcing work, throws out outdated prices and prices above the distributors' price, and carries each gap through negotiation to an awarded price.
Lytica
Lytica's SupplyLens Pro platform benchmarks electronic component spend. Its data comes from prices customers actually paid, which they upload and Lytica anonymizes and uses in aggregate. Its benchmarking modules include a scorecard, target savings, manufacturer rankings, market competitiveness by commodity, single-source risk and end-of-life analysis. It serves strategic sourcing teams at OEMs and EMS providers.
LevaData
LevaData is part of its customers' spend optimization workflow, so it sees the prices they actually pay and negotiate now, and customers use it to benchmark negotiations and future prices. Before any benchmark is calculated, LevaData throws out outdated prices, prices above distributor pricing and unit-of-measure errors, so each benchmark is a market-competitive price you can win today. Every part number is matched to those prices and to distributor prices, and LevaData measures how competitive each component manufacturer is: the average discount buyers get off market, by manufacturer. Gaps are ranked by savings, and LevaData Zeta builds the negotiation plan, sends quote requests to suppliers and records the awarded price.
Two questions to ask of any price pool: when was each price paid, and was it changed before it was shared? A price from a year ago, or one adjusted before upload, can make you look better or worse than you are. LevaData's benchmarks come from current prices in live sourcing work, with outdated and above-market prices removed.
